St. George Illawarra Dragons v Canterbury Bulldogs

The Dragons will start as the favourites this week as they come off a brilliant round one win against the Eels. St. George also have the home ground advantage and with a beaten Bulldogs missing Michael Ennis this week it is easy to see why have the Dragons as the $1.53 favourites.

South Sydney Rabbitohs v Gold Coast Titans

The Rabbitohs suffered a huge blow to their early season hype in round one when they went down to the Roosters. This week South Sydney will be keen to fight back and secure their first win of the season, and with the slightly disappointing game the Titans played when beating the Warriors last week, the Rabbitohs at home start as the favourites currently at $1.70.

But the Gold Coast have some of the most loyal fans and with Preston Campbell cleared to play for them in Friday night’s match and a South Sydney side still sorting out their front row, then at $2.15 Titans fans may be getting a bargain with!

Update: Preston Campbell has pulled out of Friday night’s match as the risk following his nasty head knock last week has been deemed too high.

New Zealand Warriors v Cronulla Sharks

Sure to be a close finish here, so avoid those 13+ point margin Rugby League bets in this match! The Sharks did well to come within four points of winning against the Storm last week and the Warriors, although defeated, did nearly get the best of the Titans in the second half at Skilled Park – a remarkable achievement!

The Warriors have the crowd behind them at Mt Smart Stadium this time, which will see them start as the favourites here. But the Shark’s defence can be killer so stay tuned for this one!

Newcastle Knights v Melbourne Storm

Can Newcastle do it again in round two, bring down one of the best teams currently playing in the NRL? They did it last week when they beat the Bulldogs, but the Storm may be a different story. The bookies don’t seem to think Newcastle have it in them, ready to send them out as the underdogs currently at $2.25 for a win with against Melbourne at $1.65.

But the Knights are playing at home and Cooper Cronk is out for Melbourne so if you are a Newcastle fan get behind them and see if you can beat the bookies in round two!

North Queensland Cowboys v Penrith Panthers

Well weren’t the Cowboys a different side in the second half last week? They might have lost to a baby faced Broncos but they came mighty close to giving fans one of the best second half comebacks in history. This week the Cowboys have the home ground advantage, and everyone knows how much they love playing at Townsville.

Penrith had a win in round one against Canberra, but it is a different level of competition this time so it is no wonder Thurston and his crew are the current $1.67 favourites with

Make this game interesting with your Rugby League betting and choose an exotic wager instead. Why not go for Thurston to be the top tryscorer this round, he is currently the second favourite at $6 to do so.

Parramatta Eels v Manly Sea Eagles

The Eels may have lost last week to a dangerous Dragons side, but they still look good to make the finals this year if not the premiership match.

Manly had a loss last week to the Tigers and this combined with the fact they are playing away from home, and have Steward and Williams out with injury, Steward indefinitely, will see them start as the long-priced roughies here.

Currently the Eels are at $1.38 for a win and Manly at $3.05 with, which is a big margin considering the Eels are missing Shane Shackleton and that the Sea Eagles will make the Eels bring everything they’ve got.

Sydney Roosters v Wests Tigers

Both teams are coming off great round one wins, so who will secure another in this match?

The bookies have the Tigers set to win at $1.70 while the Roosters, maybe considered a one match wonder when they smashed a shell-shocked Rabbitohs last week, are at $2.15 with

An interesting game for sure, one of the best showdowns this round by a mile and a hard one to call.

Canberra Raiders v Brisbane Broncos

The Broncos were brilliant last week in their round one triumph over the Cowboys, but can the new young Brisbane boys play as well away from home.

We will find out this week when they come up against the Raiders at Canberra Stadium. Despite their defeat last week, the Raiders are always brilliant when they play at home, which is why they are the current pre-match favourites at $1.65 with

But if you are a Brisbane fan from way back and think the Broncos can bring their A-game and be one of the few teams not to fall down to the Raiders at their home ground then get behind Brisbane at $2.25 for a win!
